This is one of our favorite restaurants! Every time on time is the best service and the best food in Placida,Florida. Little place that has been outside of Englewood, Florida,for ever this building has been the Egg & I. The new owners bought this wonderful place and made it even better. The new owners from Switzerland are fantastic. The server Susan has been our server every time that we been here. Always everyone has a HUGE smile and greats everyone with happiness.
We sat in a booth near the window and before long there were at LEAST 30-40 sugar ants on our table, booth, and food. I was disgusted to say the least. The food for 4 people took over 25 minutes when there was only 4 other tables. Once we received our food, it was sub-par at most. We did not see our waitress once after the food came, our check was left with our food. Luckily we had cash, because I don't know how long we would've waited if we had to pay with a credit card. Do not recommend this place at all.
Good and fresh food, but thought this restaurant was the same as the egg and I in Melbourne, which was actually a lot better in Melbourne, so that's naturally a let down. Still not a bad restaurant but I actually think Dennys is better/cheaper and it's just down the street.
Great food, friendly service!!! I ordered Breakfast Enchiladas without tortillas, yeah I'm that customer... But they were so friendly and the food was perfect!! Would absolutely recommend!!
My sister, a friend, and I ate there today. This is a family run restaurant and they are very nice. The food was really good and reasonably priced. The restaurant is very clean as is the bathroom. We had no complaints and plan to go again.
