Went in for hurricane essentials in aftermath of Irma on their first day Babe's reopened and treatment from owner Billy and store staff was just what we needed in critical time. Not only did they have several items we needed with great suggestions for use, they gave me great options for my other needs and even ordered a generator for me. The topper was The owner opening his own cooler on his truck and filling my new cooler with HIS OWN ice because they were out of ice and I needed it bad. My new cooler and new portable propane grill he recommended performed admirably for storing, cooking, boiling water and even making coffee this a.m. Before finding Babe's, I spent much time in big box stores just before and after this storm event with crappy service, empty shelves, and no ideas for alternatives (when I was finally able to find someone from the store, which took some doing). I do not blame the big guys for being out of essentials, I am just pointing out the difference in service and flexibility at this Ace store. At Babe's they live up to and beyond the "Helpful Hardware Man" motto. I found my hardware store for good and a new friend in Billy.

Kudos to Bill for his integrity! I am sincerely grateful that Bill went above and beyond to appease one disappointed Yeti customer like me. I bought a powder coated 30oz Yeti rambler last year from Bill's store. In fact, I bought 3 . Two are powder coated and one is not. I use my powder coated rambler everyday and unfortunately, despite taking great care of it by hand washing only, the vacuum lost its seal to date and couldn't keep ice anymore. So, last week, I sent an email to Yeti to tell them my story and their reply was really disappointing. Instead of pacifying me, they gave me a negative answer. They told me that because a third party did the powder coating it lost its warrantee. I was shocked. Of course, they were quick to sell me their product instead.I decided to share my story with Bill and he was quick to tell me to bring in my rambler and he would be happy to replace it, which will be a lost cost him. I said, he didn't have to do that, but he insisted. I got my new rambler today courtesy of Bill. Thank you very much, Bill! This is what customer service is all about! All the best to you and your ever pleasant and helpful staff. May your business flourish.

The store is a small town hardware store with a very good selection of items for repairs. The prices are reasonable. The staff are very friendly and helpful.
Customer service Michelle very rude when I questioned price on a rental I was getting for less than 24 hours. Won't be back.
